"Pearlescent Secret Writing in Spectral Rain" is a recently completed oil painting that I began on January 1st, 2024, about 9.5 months from start to finish. Art can represent time. Every line drawn and each square fulfilled in a measure of time. Time is a consideration in all art. One hundred original Secret Writing letters were born in the mud at Burning Man, 2023. "Spectral Rain" weaves a single thread of 36-48 spectral steps, repeated, from blue to blue. Secret Writing stands out through their pastel shade in complementary colors, veiled in pearlescence. - Allyson Grey
